Conemaugh Health System Names Vice President of Medical Affairs

Dr. Elizabeth Dunmore has accepted a position as Conemaugh Health System’s Vice President of Medical Affairs.
In this newly created role, Dr. Dunmore will serve as a liaison to the medical staff and health system administration. She will be responsible for credentialing, medical education, quality assurance and improvement and patient safety / risk management. She will work closely with clinical chairs in the development of departmental strategies for growth and quality.
Dr. Dunmore has been an active member of the Nason Hospital medical staff for the past 14 years. She served on Nason’s Medical Executive Committee as Chief of Staff and as Utilization Management Physician Champion. She also served as Emergency Department /Intensive Care Unit Committee Chair and Hospice Medical Director. In addition, Dr. Dunmore provided primary care to patients at Southern Cove Medical Associates in Roaring Spring.
A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Dr. Dunmore completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Virginia Health Science Center. She is board certified in Internal Medicine.
