Conemaugh Emergency Medicine Residency Interview Process

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center’s Emergency Medicine Residency Program participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) from the Association of American Medical Colleges. We do not take J1-Visas into our program; Only US citizens or green card applicants.

For the 2023  ERAS cycle, our program will be collecting and reviewing data from applicant’s supplemental ERAS applications.  Completion of the standard ERAS application is a requirement; completion of the supplemental ERAS application is optional.

In its second year of use, the supplemental ERAS application is designed to help applicants share more information about themselves and assist our program in finding applicants that fit our program’s setting and mission.  There is no cost to applicants and participation is optional. The supplemental ERAS application provides

  • Geographic preferences (by division and by urban or rural settings)
  • Information about an applicants most meaningful experiences and other impactful life events, if applicable; and
  • Program signals.

The Emergency Medicine program(s) will be participating in program signals only.  The supplemental ERAS application will be delivered on a survey platform that is separate from the MyERAS application and MUST BE COMPLETED between August 1 and September 16, 2022.  Applicants will be given a maximum of 5 signals to use.  It is recommended that you do not signal your home program or away rotations.

Once the candidate's application and credentials have been reviewed and/or approved, the Program Coordinator will invite the candidate for an interview with the Program Director and faculty members. All interviews for 2022 will be conducted through ZOOM.  Candidates will also join current residents for a ZOOM meet/greet the night before.
