Biography: Dermot is one of six siblings from Richboro, Pennsylvania. His elder brother is a pharmacist and his elder sister is a pediatrician. He attended Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster, PA. Dermot completed his undergraduate degree in Theological Studies from Villanova University in 2007 with an undergraduate thesis on the ‘Book of Job’. His formal education was extended to the completion of his Master's degree (MS) in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in 2014, and a Graduate Certificate from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015 (CAGS) in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. He also spent time at the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis before starting his doctoral studies at Chatham University in Pittsburgh.
Professional Interests: Dermot has an interest in Health Psychology, the integration of Behavioral Health into the Primary Care setting, Geropsychology, Dementia and Cognitive Testing, and the relationship between religion and psychological practice.
