Conemaugh Health System's Internal Medicine Residency Program offers exceptional inpatient and outpatient experience that prepare them for careers in primary care or additional specialty training. 

As the flagship hospital of Conemaugh Health System, Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center provides extensive training opportunities that enable residents to follow patients through every stage of care. Our expansive network of physician offices, outpatient centers, and inpatient services provide a continuum of care that instills the importance of coordinated efforts to achieve the highest level of patient care.

Conemaugh Health System offers Internal Medicine Residencies through the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Medical Students

Medical Students interested in an audition rotation in Internal Medicine at our facility should complete an application.

Requirements:

Complete the application and email all required documents (i.e. comlex/uslme scores and CV) inquiries to the Medical Student Coordinator: tyoder@conemaugh.org 

Once rotation has been scheduled and confirmed you must provide

  • Required background clearances - you must allow enough time to receive results
    • PA State Police Criminial Record Check
    • PA Child Abuse History
    • FBI/PA Department of Human Services
    • PA Department of Aging (if you have not lived in Pennsylvania for the past 2 years)- (this takes a minimum of 8 weeks for results) 

Please note: We do not sponsor any VISA candidates. U.S. Citizen or green card students/applicants only.

A Program Letter of Agreement is also necessary prior to the rotation.  If one is not on file with the hospital, allow 3 months
